Singapore-based CapitaLand, southeast Asia’s largest property developer, has completed its first residential development in Vietnam: The Vista, 750 luxury apartments in five 28-story towers across the Saigon River from Ho Chi Minh City’s downtown.
Construction began nearly four years ago and is the latest monument to modern Vietnam that achieved new benchmarks in design, landscaping, and facilities. The project combines design elements from CapitaLand international projects elsewhere with Vietnamese custom and tastes.
Groundbreaking took place before the global economic downturn, and as economic activity continues to improve in the region, it is likely to help inspire a range of other unigue, large-scale residential and commercial developents in Vietnam’s largest cities.
