California-based CKE Restaurants has opened its first Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City, making it Vietnam’s first major Western quick-service hamburger chain. CKE plans 25 Carl’s restaurants in the country as part of a larger Asian strategy.
Currently, CKE franchises 342 international restaurants between both its Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s(R) brands. The company plans to double its International presence within the next five years.
